Leyburn is set to take centre stage as the Tour of Britain cycle race comes to town, with a stage finish planned right here in our market town.
We are delighted to confirm that Stage 4, from Helmsley to Leyburn, will finish in Leyburn on Saturday 5th September.
This is fantastic news for Leyburn and the surrounding area, bringing one of the UK’s premier sporting events to our doorstep. The Tour of Britain attracts top professional cyclists from around the world, along with visitors, media coverage, and a vibrant atmosphere that showcases everything our community has to offer.
A race finish in Leyburn will provide a thrilling spectacle for residents and visitors alike, with competitors racing into the town in what promises to be an exciting and memorable finish. It will also offer a valuable opportunity to highlight Leyburn’s unique character, local businesses, and stunning countryside.
