Queen’s Jubilee Celebrations in Leyburn

 

Leyburn Arts & Community Centre – Festival of performing Arts

Friday 27th May – 6pm Cinema, The Queen, with complimentary sandwiches & cake.

Saturday 18th May – 10-4pm Dancing, exhibition, drama and live music by Leyburn Band & Ukulele Group. 7.30pm – decade’s musical celebration.

Sunday 29th May – 11.30-4pm Sequence dancing, live music and performance by the Dales Pop Choir, tree planting, art competition & afternoon tea.

Leyburn Library

Wednesday 1st June – Tea party to celebrate the Queens Jubilee 2-4pm including a very royal story time 2.30-3.30pm.

Lighting of the beacon on the Shawl Fields

Thursday 2nd June 9.30pm – Beacon to be lit at 9.45pm refreshments & food will be served.

Bowls Club

Saturday 4th June – 2pm Stalls, Bowling events and competitions followed by Jubilee afternoon tea.

Dalesman Club

Saturday 4th June- Afternoon Tea followed by evening singer.

St Matthew’s Church

Saturday 4th June – Community 1950’s style tea- party afternoon to be held in the church grounds at 3pm. Offering Leyburn band concert, 1950’s style games, free ice cream’s from a vintage ice cream van, refreshments, cake & sandwiches. Everyone is encouraged to come dressed in 1950’s style as there will be prizes for the best dressed man, woman & child.

Picnic in the Shawl Park

Sunday 5th June – 12-3pm Bring and share afternoon tea picnic with children’s games and competitions on the Shawl Fields.
