The pedestrian crossing adjacent to Cliff Drive is a danger to any pedestrian using it. We use it daily and on numerous occasions this year, even in lockdown with reduced and predominantly local traffic, cars, vans and wagons have driven straight through whilst we were crossing or attempting to cross. It needs to be converted to a stop/ go crossing. The low number of users would mean traffic would be on the whole unaffected but pedestrian safety would be significantly improved. For info, during winter we wear hi-vis and head torches but still drivers seem oblivious to our presence. It would be safer to remove the crossing than to leave it as it is.
