Investment in Leyburn – What’s Being Planned
Residents attending the Annual Town Meeting will hear about key investment initiatives currently being progressed for Leyburn.
North Yorkshire Council is leading on the development of a Town Investment Plan for Leyburn. This work forms part of a wider programme across North Yorkshire to identify local priorities and opportunities for future investment, helping to shape improvements that reflect the needs of individual towns and their communities.
Alongside this, funding secured through the Mayor of York and North Yorkshire and the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority is supporting the development of specific projects in Leyburn, including:
- The creation of a Visitor Hub, and
- Accessible Leyburn initiatives, aimed at improving access and inclusivity across the town.
Together, these strands of work represent a coordinated approach to investment in Leyburn, bringing together strategic planning led by North Yorkshire Council and targeted project funding to deliver practical improvements.
The Annual Town Meeting will provide residents with the opportunity to learn more about these plans, understand how they connect, and contribute their views as work continues to develop.
