Leyburn Town Council is deeply saddened and joins the nation in mourning the passing of HRH The Duke of Edinburgh. The flag in the Market Place will be flown at half mast as we pay tribute to Prince Philip.

Cllr Richard Sanderson, Chairman of the Town Council/ Mayor of Leyburn paid tribute this evening

“We recognise and are grateful for the outstanding contribution made by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh to the United Kingdom & Commonwealth, through a long life dedicated to the service of its people. The Town Council will be sending our sincere condolences to Her Majesty the Queen and members of the Royal family on behalf of the residents of Leyburn.”
